Ms Sitha Wickramasinghe started her career as a science teacher in 1979. She professionally qualified as a teacher form Teachers’ Training College Maharagama. She graduated with Bed from the Open University Sri Lanka. She resigned from teaching in 1995 and joined Family Planning Association-FPA as a sexual reproductive health instructor in charge of Puttalam and Gampaha districts. During the period from 2003-2005 she could follow some international courses from IPPF, WHO and FARO in India, Nepal, Indonesia and Thailand on male participation, sexual negotiation, counseling etc. She has worked as counseling instructor for FARO. During the same period she has worked as Caritas Psycho-Social Adviser for Chilaw -Janasaviya CEDEC From 2007 Ms Sita was promoted as the training manager of FPA. Then she could coordinate training programs in 5 districts for teachers, University students Tertiary education institute trainees etc. From 2005 she had joined Thothanna as a resource person for child and youth trainer on reproductive health Ms Sitha is a writer for few books on sexual reproductive health. Two of them were published by Thothanna Publishing house.
