3.Women

We believe mothers’ role is the most important role which influences the children. So women empowerment is very much important to make good changes in the society. Thothanna emerged first to benefit the children. But after evaluation of ten years of our activities we came to a conclusion that mothers’ role is important to build a developed child. We have paid to empower women so that they themselves could be successful members of the society. When women are empowered economically, socially, politically and spiritually the while society can be benefit with that empowerment. We use self help group concept to empower women. We have developed our self help practice studying the local and international experiences.

Our main activities with/for women

1. Forming and strengthening Jeewanasakthi women’s groups with marginalized women, network them in Women’s’ Groups Collectives, Jeewanasakthi
Women’s Federation and CWUDN
2. Grant capacity building and awareness trainings
3. Grant library facilities and media recourses
4. Jeewanasakthi news paper
5. Encourage women for nutrition groves, direct marketing systems, food processing.
6. Organize exchange visits with the women in different cultures.
