Mr. Nalin Soyza

Mr. Nalin Soyza started his career in 1986 as a assistant agriculture manager in Kanthele Sugar Corporation. In 1988 he joined to the Puttalam Regional Development Bank as a bank manager. In 1992 he was promoted as the special project manager. In 1994 he was appointed to the Central Bank Project through secondary service. During that period under the Central bank project: Small Farmers and Landless Credit Project (Isuru Project) he joined it as a lesion officer and later he was promoted as the District Coordinating Officer.
In 2006 he again joined as the Senior Credit Manager of the bank which was then re-structured as Wayamba Development Bank (Now it has been restructured again as Regional Development Bank). Now he works for the Regional Development Bank in charge of the Micro Finance Development Unit which gives priority to develop the social capital of the marginalized people.
Mr. Nalin Soyza is a Diploma holder in Agriculture in Aquinas College. And followed a Diploma in Development Bank Studies in Sri Lanka Bankers’ Institute. He has followed a Diploma in Micro finance in University of Colombo. He has followed an overseas Diploma on Agriculture Project Rehabilitation in PDCP Bank Philippines.
Mr. Nalin Soyza is very keen on studying on Orientalism for sustainable development. He has special experience on small group concept for powerless communities’ development.
